Position to be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 YEARS. This term appointment may be extended up to a maximum of four years; CANNOT be made permanent without further competition. Who May Apply:

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of a(n) Powered Support Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to locate materials on-hand in order to complete projects. I have the ability to communicate to team leads regarding the status of work progress and factors impeding the ability to accomplish assigned projects. I have the ability to read plans, blueprints, materials and tools available for each assigned task. I have the ability to work within a team setting and follow guidance received from a supervisor. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Stands, walks, bends, works in awkward positions. Work requires frequent bending,reaching, crouching, standing and arm movement. Incumbent sometimes works in awkward positions or cramped areas. There is frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to about 50 pounds and lifting heavier items using jacks, hoists, etc. Working Conditions:
Work is performed inside and occasionally outside. Inside, incumbent is frequently exposed to drafts, changing temperatures, and loud noise. Outside, incumbent may on occasion be required to work in bad weather. Both inside and outside, the incumbent is frequently exposed to irritation or discomfort from dust, heat, fumes, etc. Incumbent is exposed to the possibility of cuts, burns, bruises, and electrical shocks. Wears protective clothing and equipment as necessary.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
