Experience:
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is one year of demonstrated independent experience conducting routine and operation maintenance of all assigned weapons and related equipment (e.g., handguns, shotguns, police baton, and handcuffs); interrupting and implementing law enforcement policies, procedures, and techniques; AND, operating a variety of communication and electronics and surveillance systems and equipment, (e.g., radios, transmitters, CCTV's and intrusion detection systems. Acceptable experience includes service in the Armed Services or Coast Guard that involved the performance of guard duties on a regular or intermittent basis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
