Job Description
ENSCO is seeking experienced industrial electricians at the Transportation Technology Center to service and
maintain low, medium and high voltage equipment throughout the facility.
Responsibilities shall include the following:
Participate in the planning, construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components (lighting, wiring, transformers, outlets, circuit breakers, motors, control devices, VFDs, cables, buss bars, etc.).
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on electrical systems and components.
Develop maintenance work plans.
Meet departmental key metrics and goals.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit and cable trays.
Ensure all electrical work complies with current NEC codes, OSHA, and ENSCO safety requirements.
Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit-breakers, as well as control panels.
Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics and follow manufacturer's specifications.
Study wiring diagrams and manuals to determine correct installation, operation, and maintenance requirements.
Maintain and coordinate overhead powerline, underground, and substation equipment to provide electricity to the building.
Operate substation control systems.
Maintain back up power generators.
Administrative duties related to task or project documentation including completion of work orders under a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Attend safety training and conduct all activities following safety procedures and safe industry practices.
Comply with all safety and company rules and regulations, and help lead the safety effort on site.
Inspect, service and conduct periodic maintenance on medium and high-voltage switch gear, transformers, and electrical hardware at substations and other facilities located throughout the site.
Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation, and perform Infrared scans.
Create and update work tickets in a computerized maintenance management system in a timely and detailed manner, and document equipment issues.
Develop teamwork.
Work safely utilizing LOTO procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a formal apprenticeship.
Licensed electrician or ability to obtain licensing in 18 months.
Five or more years of trade experience as an electrician or electrician's apprentice.
Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems and wiring.
Troubleshooting ability.
Experience with 120 “ 480 volt AC; Three phase.
Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
Understanding of field regulations and best practices.
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Ability to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
Ability to pull wires and cables through conduits.
Ability to safely climb a 15-foot-high ladder.
Ability to work for prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Detail oriented.
Ability to maintain accurate records and accurately enter and update work tickets in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills.
Valid driver's license to allow driving throughout the site.
Ability to drive company vehicles around site and into city for work.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations
Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team.
Ability to be flexible in a fast pasted environment.
Maintain good customer service skills.
Qualifications Desired
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.

years experience as an Industrial Electrician.
Ability to learn substation operation and maintenance.
Controls and automation experience or familiarity.
13,800 volt AC experience or ability to learn.
DC current experience.
